Ibrahim Elhoussieny, MD

Ibrahim Elhoussieny, MD, joined Kite in 2018 and currently serves as Vice President and Global Head of Medical Affairs.

Prior to joining Gilead, Ibrahim was the Vice President and Senior Franchise Head, Oncology Global Medical Affairs for Novartis. Ibrahim has extensive medical affairs leadership experience with more than two decades of pharma experience in global, regional and local roles, where he has held roles of increasing responsibility in GlaxoWellcome and Novartis across several therapy areas.

Ibrahim obtained a bachelor’s degree in medicine & surgery and a master’s degree in radio-diagnosis from the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University in Egypt. He received an MBA with distinction from Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands. Before joining the pharma and biotech industry, he practiced medicine for eight years.
